Northwoods Catholic School Delivers Another Successful Gala

Daniel Cardinal DiNardo Honored   SPRING, TX (February, 2008) - Northwoods Catholic School held its 9th annual gala on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at the Woodlands Resort and Conference Center.  The gala honored his Eminence, Daniel Cardinal DiNardo, who was in attendance. Funds raised at the event will contribute to the operating budget of the school and will play a critical role in achieving Northwood's mission to foster integrally formed Christian leaders.  The theme for the gala was, "A Northern Knight" and featured decorations reminiscent of a cold, snowy night in a faraway land. Over 400 people attended the black tie event including several corporate sponsors.  Guests enjoyed themselves throughout the evening in the cocktail reception & dinner, a silent auction and a live auction, conducted by Mr. Don Mudd, owner of Woodlands' Oriental Rug Gallery. In his opening remarks, Cardinal DiNardo talked about the value of a Catholic education and how it produces young people who are concerned and effective in dealing with the common good. Cardinal DiNardo further commented, "I consider Northwoods and all the work done there by faculty, teachers and the Legionary priests, an important aspect of the total growth of our Catholic education in this archdiocese."
